| Muzamil Ayub” – Orthopaedic Patient– August 2007 | |
Muzammil Ayub a six years old boy and a resident of khanewal was born with club foot by lateral, his parents were extremely worried about his condition as he was not able to walk till this age. And they took him almost to all the orthopaedic consultants in the town and in the other towns as well. But none of them recommended any proper treatment for him. So they became quite depressed and disheartened in this prevailing situation.
One day, he got an information through his family friends that a large number of those patients are being cured at Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital, who were earlier stated incurable by the other doctors. |

So with all high hopes they visited Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital along with their son, and after the initial consultation and X-rays, the doctor recommended surgery for him and with their consent, it was performed the very next day. After the two weeks of surgery, X-rays were taken again which showed the normal position of feet. |

A laborer about 70 years old; “Allah Diwai“ lives in “Iqbal Nagar” a suburb of Multan. Though she was working as a sweeper in distribution services office she has to earn by herself to live all alone. She had to give up her job due to deteriorating vision. She was in deep crisis as earnings vanished. A van was arranged and took her to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital, where a surgery was performed free of cost. The surgery was performed successfully and Diwai's vision was restored. |

After the surgery, she was prescribed a pair of spectacles. That too was also provided free of cost by Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital. "Diwai” is now once again productively employed and is back at work. With her vision restored, she is now able to take care of herself all by herself. |

| “Wassan Mai” – Cataract – Aug 2006 | |
Wassan Mai of Kabirwala, was selling Bangles on the streets. She was suffering from poor vision and the problem aggravated with passage of time. Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital organized Free Eye Surgery camp. When she visited Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital, it was found that she had developed cataract in both her eyes which required surgeries of the both eyes. However, her financial condition was such that she could hardly even pay for one surgery. Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital came to her rescue and the cataract surgeries were performed free of cost. Even the cost of the drugs and medicines and the intraocular lens were borne by Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital. |

Now, Wassan Mai is back at work, selling ‘Bangles’ on the pavements in her village. Her normal peak sale period being evenings, her eyesight after the surgery has helped her in a big way and now she is able to look after her big family of five members with ease. |

| “Bashir Ahmad ” – Orthopedic Patient– August 2007 | |
Bashir Ahmed old guy living in an outskirts of Multan and was the only bread winner of his family. His misfortune started when he met an accident in which he had a fracture of a thigh bone. And after that he had to undergo two surgeries subsequently, but the both surgeries were fiascos. Now he was in a turmoil, as he had to quit his job due to his disability, and had to face a grave financial problems. As he spent all his savings on his treatment, and now he owed a large amount of money from his friends & relatives. He came to Bakhtawar Amin in response of Free Camp campaigns, after the initial consultation, he was told by the doctors to come the next day for X-rays and thorough checkup. So once again he was recommended surgery by the doctors.

As he was already having a bad experience so he was pretty scared. But this time, the doctor assured him the success of the surgery. So eventually he underwent the surgery and the surgery was indeed, a complete success. He was hospitalized for three weeks. At the time of discharge he was on his toes. |
